About the Farm
The Property and its house has been known in previous decades as the Monticello Mansion. Today it is often just called Hilltop, after Hilltop Christian Fellowship, the church that purchased the property in August of 2021. The Property is a 100+ acre equestrian estate located east of Monticello; northeast of Tallahassee, FL and south of Thomasville, GA, featuring multiple paddocks, ponds, a 12 stall barn, 4 miles of white fencing, and a 9 bedroom house.
Experience the property through its current owner Hilltop Christian Fellowship.
About the House
The house is where the property earned the legacy name of The Monticello Mansion. It’s a large house for the demographics of the county. It was built by the Lee’s in late 2000’s. The Lee’s instituted high end building material and features in the house. In Fact, their nick name for the house was the Midas house. Because the answer to the questions regarding upgrades and features was commonly, We Midas (“might as”) well.
It featured 9 bedrooms and 6 and 2 half bathrooms, including a guest apartment with a private full kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The large kitchen is equipped with a double oven, 6 burner stove, and dual dishwashers. The great room features a billiards table and features panoramic views of the property through the large windows. The huge rear patio is a great place to enjoy fresh air and overlook the scenic views of horses and pastures as well as the pond. The large master suite features large bay windows overlooking the pond, 2 walk in closets, and a luxury bathroom with a claw foot tub and large walk in shower, also with panoramic windows overlooking the property. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms in addition to the guest apartment and a game room with a fireplace and balcony. Every bathroom has at least 1 window overlooking the beautiful property.
The house, Now a House of Worship, is situated on the highest point of the property. In fact, aviation maps has it pinned as the highest point in the sector, about the 7th highest point in Florida. Thus appropriately named Hilltop, and home of Hilltop Christian Fellowship church.
